Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Proprietor Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.

Taylor told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Jujur was clearly injured and his paws were red. His toenails, cut too closely to the paws likely caused him to bite.

Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.

James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.

James described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."

Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.

In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Puppy Lux wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. James stated, "Jonny informed to me animal abuse dog that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."

Fox called Puppy Lux and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Fox that they were looking into the allegations. However, when questioned about Puppy Lux, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
